23/03/2020 Covid 19 update.

Newton-le-Willows Anglers Asc has suspended all match fixtures until further notice.

Notifications of the resumption of the forecast of matches shown in your 2020 permit will be announced as they become available.
Pleasure angling is not affected, as yet. Please adhere to the Government guidelines on social distancing, advice from the executive is that at least 1 peg should be left unattended from the neighbouring angler and 2 if at all possible.
We have 19 waters on our cards so if it looks like the water you have decided on is fully occupied then make the conscious effort to go to another water. Please stay in contact on Face Book and messenger/text.

Moat House Fisheries will make their intentions known on their Face Book page, but do not just assume that their response will be identical to the Asc unless they state this.

Official Statement from Eddie Marcroft, Secretary Newton-le-Willows Anglers Association.
“In view of the escalating seriousness of the Covid 19 virus, the Association are to cancel their forthcoming matches until further notice.
This decision hasn’t been taken lightly, we will how ever review this on a fortnightly basis and we will endeavour to try and run the match program but not in the permit format and later in the year.
We hope we can count on our members support on this, as you can still go out fishing as individuals at the moment unless government legislation comes forward and stops that.
Tight lines and all stay safe and well”.
